That proprietary SP mode info should accept stayed protected and been unavailable to users. Waste of time to endeavour and protect that info now, though I practise agree it was a super bad idea to post the info in the first place. By now, that info is so widely bachelor on hundreds of youtube videos and other websites and fifty-fifty in tons of posts here on Copytechnet....might as well just reply the question. Total waste of time to protect the info at this point, it's been also widely disseminated.

And to address the question at hand----

Yellow(reset) / and then 107 / and so the C key volition let you in. Yous have to hold the C primal down for a couple of seconds. SP mode should come.If y'all nonetheless tin't get in-----maybe User Tools > System Settings > Administrator Tools > Service Mode Lock is enabled.

Promise this helps you to become in.

I am certainly very glad that information technology helped you. And to put things in perspective:

The other guys are not being rude. They come here with the purpose of freely helping and getting assist. The people here are rightfully concerned that the SP mode information in the hands of a non-tech could let them do much more damage than good. Information technology's non difficult to plough a copier into a big ol' brick with that access. I agree with them in principle , and that info should exist shared just with other tech'southward in a PM (private message) only.

Problem is, that info has been shared openly and then many times , it is now a moot signal. Spilt milk equally they say....What do we now proceeds hiding info from users that in reality certainly cannot exist maintained subconscious whatsoever longer. What is real vs. what is ideal. May every bit well answer the darn question and exist helpful to others, if non , that information will be hands discovered anyhow.

That beingness said, I respect their comments, their concerns are well founded.

P.Southward. Did you effigy out how to adjust the brandish brightness? Allow usa know. On the older machines I think information technology was called contrast under general settings. Not sure if there even is a Ricoh display brightness adjustment on the newer way copiers though.

I had a client who learned that they could enter Sp and so cycle power to clear simulated fusing fault codes. What they failed to understand was that if the lawmaking returned, practice not endeavour information technology again. Internet consequence was a pressure roller melted to the hot roller.
